Bulwagan Foundation Charitable Trust in association with the Embassy of the Philippines Wellington presents Philippine Festival 2017!
This year’s main event is bigger and more “magical” than ever!
Come and celebrate all that is mythical about the Filipino culture – listen to enthralling stories, learn about how mythology has influenced Filipino culture, and dress up as your favourite Filipino mythological creature!
This and more along with your favourite culinary delights and cultural performances!
TASTE OF HOME
A showcase of the diversity of Filipino home-cooking. From the influence of flavours from other cultures to the regional renditions of classic dishes, discover the comfort and variety of what makes Filipino food one in its own.
There are showcases at selected times while regional food stalls will be vending throughout.
There is also a boodle feast hosted by renowned Auckland restaurant, Nanam. Tickets are required.
PAMANA & KULTURA (Heritage & Culture)
An all-day exhibition highlighting the excitement, wonder, and heritage of the Philippine culture.
Wander in wonder of Filipino mythology in the “Diwata Display”
Also featuring:
– Filipiniana attire display
– Cultural music and dances
– Manual art features
– “Palaro” playground games (great for the kids)
