Jukebox Heroes: The Legends of Rock’n’Roll is a rock concert that will take you from the 1950’s and the beginning of rock’n’roll all the way through to today.
Rock’n’roll has been ground-breaking since Bill Haley first rocked around the clock, and this show will focus on the legends that have shaped the music and continued to push boundaries; from the British Invasion to American Idiot, and from Janis Joplin to Alanis Morissette.
A rock revue framed by documentary theatre, Jukebox Heroes infuses over twenty rock hits from throughout the ages with the craft and theatricality of a live musical.
Wellington Filipino actor and singer Alex Rabina looks forward to bringing the energy and fun of pop-punk bands like Green Day and Blink-182 to the stage, led with four other performers and a live band by Californian director and choreographer Kira Josephson and Wellington composer Bruno Shirley (co-composer of Right Dishonourable, Bloodlines, and Battle Hymn).
