#SALAWIKAIN: “Madaling sabihin, mahirap gawin.”

“Easier said than done.”

This salawikain speaks of things that bashful or proud people always says what they can do but always fall short when asked to do it. This can also refer to tasks that seems to look easy but are often miscalculated and thus the end product is a fail.

The cartoon shows of a guy who promised to his friend that he has already moved on from a broken heart. He is seen crying as he might have realised that it is easier to say that he has moved on when in reality, he has not.

People who loves to DIY would be reminded by this salawikain when their task fails. Quite often, when people are full of confidence, they would embark on a task that they have not tried or learned about but they thought are too easy. Quite often as well, these people would fail miserably.

Knowing ones limitations will prevent him from being embarassed when the real test is given. There are tasks that would seem to be too easy but don’t understimate a task and remain humble so that when you fail, it will not be taken against you, and if you succeed, the rewards are greater.
