The transmission tower of Radio Veritas in Malolos Bulacan was bombed by soldiers cutting off its radio broadcast to the provinces. Emergency powers were used to continue broadcasting.
Back in Camp Crame, Manila, Ramos and Enrile faced their supporters appealing for more civilian presence. At noon, Marcos appeared on TV announcing his plans for his inauguration. He also hinted possible artillery attack against the leaders of the coup.In EDSA, people are blocking tanks and armoured personnel carriers with their bodies as shields. Cory arrived in Manila shortly but went into hiding.
Radio Veritas backup transmitter failed at around 6pm forcing it off the air. News updates are now being aired through DXRJ by June Kiethley on a secret location.
