TODAY IN PHILIPPINE HISTORY
The Americans created The Philippine Normal School or PNS (later converted to the Philippine Normal College and now The Philippine Normal University) through Act No. 74 of the Philippine Commission. It was formally opened on September 1, 1901 as training institution for teachers.
This centre for teachers’ education has campuses in Manila, Cadiz City, Agusan del Sur, Isabela and Quezon.
