Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon, wife of Commonwealth President Manuel L. Quezon was born in Baler, Tayabas (Aurora Province).
Doña Aurora was much loved by Filipinos and was known in her involvement with humanitarian activities. She served as the chairperson of the Philippine National Red Cross. She was also a forerunner in the campaign for women’s right to suffrage which was achieved in 1937.
