TODAY IN PHILIPPINE HISTORY
A fire at the jampacked Ozone Disco Club in Quezon City, Philippines broke out shortly after midnight. The fire lasted for four hours, claimed around 160 lives, and left 310 persons injured.
It also caused around P15 million worth of damage to property. It is acknowledged as the worst fire in Philippine history and was called Ozone Tragedy.
