Eva Reynada Estrada-Kalaw, a Filipino politician, who served as a Senator in the Senate of the Philippines was born in Concepcion, Tarlac. Her term as a senator lasted for 7 years (1965–1972). Serving in Senate during the presidency of Ferdinand Marcos (Nationalist), she was part of a major transformation in Philippine domestic and foreign policies.
Kalaw is best remembered for being a female presence in the Senate at a time when most women dreamt of catching the perfect man and spending the rest of their lives taking care of a husband and children.
